Vacation Bible School FAQs:

VBS Registration for 2026 is FULL. Is there a Waiting List?

Yes, as we recruit more volunteers, we are very hopeful that we can add more students to our VBS program. Please add your information to the Waiting List using the link below.

rAINFOREST fALLS WAITING LIST

Who can attend Vacation Bible School at Family of Christ?

VBS is open to the whole community! There are no church membership or worship attendance requirements. Everyone is welcome!

Age:

Kids age 4 (on or before the first day of VBS: June 22, 2026) to those who have completed 6th grade (NEW THIS YEAR!)

We are very strict on this minimum age policy as our preschool program will fill to capacity and have a waiting list. Our desire if for every child to experience the fun and learning of VBS, but we just don't have the space to accommodate students under the age of 4.

Please DO NOT register your child in any grade other than the grade that they are currently in (2025-2026). Preschoolers need to be in our preschool program in order for everyone to have a positive experience at VBS.

Should I select Preschool or Kindergarten?

Preschool includes kids ages 4 - 6 who have NOT completed Kindergarten. Please select the grade that the child is currently in when registering for VBS.

What is Club 45?

We have a special separate program to create an opportunity for our 4th, 5th & 6th grade students to be in VBS, but with some additional learning, serving, and leading components. This is the third time we will be offering Club45 and we are so excited for the possibilities!

Is there a cost to attend VBS?

Vacation Bible School has a flat fee of $40.00 per child that is registered. (No early bird/family/volunteer discounts.)  Payments can be made through PayPal (bank account or card) on this website or in-person (cash or check) in the church office at Family of Christ Monday-Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm. (Enter on the east side of the building through door #1.)

What's included with the registration cost?

Registration fees include programming, supplies, and snacks for each day of Rainforest Falls VBS (June 22-26, 2026), as well as a t-shirt for each participant, and if desired a music CD or download card for each participant family!

We are able to keep the cost of VBS low because almost all of the Rainforest Falls VBS leaders are unpaid volunteers. Thank you for making this experience a reality for so many kids!

Can we get a refund if we can no longer attend?

Registration fees will be 90% refunded for cancellations received before April 1. Cancellations between April 2 and June 1, will receive a 50% refund, and any cancellation after June 2 is non-refundable.

We love VBS Volunteers!

Who can volunteer?

Students who have completed 6th-12th grade are welcome to volunteer as crew leaders and station assistants. Every effort will be made to pair our 6th grade student volunteers with a high school student or an adult to serve in an apprenticing role.

VBS runs on volunteers! We are so thankful for all the people who give their time, talents, and treasures to make VBS happen at Family of Christ year after year.

I want to volunteer, but I have kids under 4!

Nursery care will be available for our volunteers who have kids 3 years old and younger. To request nursery care, complete this form:

VBS VOLUNTEER NURSERY CARE REQUEST FORM

Please note that this form is a request. Nursery capacity is limited by classroom space and nursery volunteer availability.

Are you struggling to decide if your 6th grader should be a student participant or volunteer?

Read the questions below. If you can answer most with “always” or “usually”, then your son/daughter is probably ready to serve as a volunteer. If you find yourself answering with “sometimes,” “rarely,” or “never”, please register your him or her as a student participant so that he/she can participate in our student program for one more year.

  • Christ-like servant attitude – Does he/she love Jesus and look for ways to help others without being asked?
  • Respect for authority and boundaries – Does he/she follow adult leaders’ directions consistently? Can he/she complete tasks the way they’re asked? Does he/she respect personal space and safety guidelines? Can he/she stay where he/she is assigned?
  • Self-control and stamina – Can he/she manage frustration, excitement, and disappointment appropriately, and help younger students do the same? Can he/she stay engaged throughout a multi-hour program?
  • Positive influence and willingness to serve small group of younger students – Does he/she encourage others rather than distract or exclude? Does he/she enjoy helping younger kids? Can he/she help keep kids focused during crafts, games, or lessons?

Your son or daughter may not be ready to volunteer at VBS yet if he/she: frequently distracts peers, struggles with authority, needs high levels of supervision, or becomes overwhelmed easily.
