What to Expect

FIRST TIME HERE?

Welcome! Here is all you need to know before showing up at Family of Christ: Come as you are. Although our time will be taken up by singing, teaching and praying, you won't need a manual to decipher how to fit in. No matter where you have come from or currently are on your spiritual journey, our desire is to encourage, inspire and equip you to fall in love with Jesus and bring glory to God. We hope you find Family of Christ to be welcoming, relevant and a fun place to get plugged in and meet other people. If there is something we can do or pray for you, please feel free to let us know.

  • What to Wear

  • Children & Babies

Children are a central part of Family of Christ, and our desire is for families to be in worship together. The nursery is located on the west end of the building and is designed to care for and nurture our youngest generation (6 weeks through 3 years) when parents or caregivers need an extra hand.

Our KidZone Sunday School takes place during our 9:00 and 10:30 worship service through the school year.

  • Where to go

  • Communication Card/Prayer Requests

This card is handed out at the beginning of the worship service. We ask you to fill these out with your prayer requests, information requests, etc. and turn them into the ushers during the offering song or at the end of service. • Lord's Supper

Family of Christ celebrates the Lord’s Supper on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month. We believe God gives us Holy Communion for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26-28) and the deepening of our relationship with Him and each other. All who share in our profession of the Christian faith are encouraged to partake in Holy Communion, provided they:

    • Have received Christian Baptism (Acts 2:36-38),
    • Recognize and confess their sinfulness (Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:8-9),
    • Forgive others (Matthew 5:21-24; Matthew 6:12)
    • Believe the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ are truly present, offered under forms of bread and wine (1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:27-29)

For questions about the Lord’s Supper or for parents of children wishing to receive Holy Communion (who have not yet received the Lord’s Supper instruction), please speak with a pastor before the service.

Note: Grape juice and gluten-free wafers are also available for those with special needs.
