Family of Christ takes

The Red Letter Challenge

for Lent

Jesus modeled a whole life and even told us how to follow Him in HIS OWN WORDS

(the red letters found in many Bibles).

The best way to follow Jesus is simply to follow the words of Jesus.

The Red Letter Challenge will help our church family grow closer to God during the 40 days of Lent.

  • HOW does the RLC work?

We are so excited that you are ready to start, or are at least curious about, the Red Letter Challenge. Read below for the many different ways to join Jesus and your church family on this journey.
  • Buy the book (if you want to) and read!

Read the book on your own or with your family from March 1 - April 9. Books are available at the church. There is a suggested donation of $10 per book. There are separate books for kids (ages K-5th grade) and adults (6th grade+). You are still able, and more than welcome, to participate with the RLC without ever owning or opening the book!

  • Worship & Learn!

Learn more when you attend worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am or 10:15 am or Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm.

Participate in the small group discussions that will be led by the Lay Ministers as part of Wednesday evening Lenten worship services. Discussion guides will be provided and groups will be assigned randomly.

On Wednesday evenings, there will be nursery childcare and activities for kids (K-5th grade) during this time. 6th-8th grade students will attend CrossTraining as usual, and 9th-12th grade students will experience the RLC together during Power House.

  • Dig Even Deeper!

If you are already a member of a small group or life group, do the challenge together! Read the assignment for each day, hold each other accountable, and discuss what you are learning. Contact Ruth Woltmann if you need additional group resources.

  • Can't participate in person?

No problem! Join in online. Watch the worship services that are posted on YouTube, Facebook, and our website. Join this Facebook group to watch the small group videos and for discussion with others.
