Alaska Mission for Christ

Life in rural Alaska is difficult—communities are small and isolated. Many people live without electricity and other modern conveniences with most of their income coming from government jobs and living off the land. Beyond the physical struggles are those of the heart and mind. Suicide, alcoholism and depression are common problems, leading to death for many young people of Alaska. Many rural Alaskans live in hopelessness and yearn to find meaning in their lives. It is for that reason the Alaska Mission for Christ (AMC) has boldly proclaimed to share Jesus with every community in Alaska.  Members of Family of Christ have been partnering with the Alaska Mission for Christ for the past 16 years—through Vacation Bible School, basketball and volleyball camps, and hammer and nail projects. For the past six years the team has been working to build a retreat that can be used to share
Jesus with an isolated area of Alaska. Teams work in Alaska twice a year—once in late February/early March and again in July.

Mission India

India is home to 1.2 BILLION people with at least 400 million whom have never heard the name of Jesus. The vision of Mission India is making disciples to transform India for Christ. Our national workers in India do this through church planting, adult literacy classes and children's Bible clubs partnering with over 1,000 various Christian ministries in India. This has resulted in literally millions of Indians coming to Jesus and tens of thousands of new churches being planted in the last 30 years. Our goal is to plant a church in every village in India and to see India become a Christian nation.

World Mission Prayer League

Curt & Ann Goettsch are working as Interim Managers at an American-style coffee house and foreign language club in East Asia. Through the coffee house, customers enjoy typical American style coffee house food, desserts, and drinks.  More importantly, they are able to participate in three hours of English conversation during our language club every evening.  Together with an awesome team of volunteers, our club members are able to improve their English skills by conversing with native English speakers. We pray that  Salt and Light are evident through every encounter and conversation and that we will be living examples of a new Way, Truth, and Life.
