Prayer Shawl Ministry

"Shawls...made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of and inclusive, unconditional loving God.  They wrap, enfold, comfort, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beautify.  Those who have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly about their troubles..."  Janet Bristow

Uses for the Shawl

Blessed with prayers for healing, peace, success, or just overall health and happiness, these shawls will be used to comfort and encourage the sick, the dying, and thankful, the lonely, the lost, and anyone who needs to feel God's love physically wrapped around them.

 About the Shawls

As this gift has been sent along, some recipients have continued the kindness by making a prayer shawl themselves and passing it on to someone in need.  Thus, the blessing is rippled from person to person, with both the giver and receiver feeling the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, loving Savior!

Many of our prayer shawl recipients find it to be a very emotional time. Just the knowledge that they are not alone is a moving experience and a faith builder.

Sometimes we may miss an opportunity to give a prayer shawl to someone or if you know of someone who is at a time in their life where the blessings of a prayer shawl would be beneficial please contact Bernie at the numbers below.

If you would like to share your knitting or crocheting skills with our ministry or would like to know more about this ministry, please contact Lynn Holter at 763-767-0976.

Whether you’re separated, just going through the divorce process, or have been divorced for a long time, please join us in this safe and caring environment where you will find healing and encouragement through God’s love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
